Unlocking a ZTE V9 Android Tablet wont seem fun at first. Most articeles on the web pointed to flashing the ROM etc..If you dont want to.. you dont have to.This method ensures that your data and apps are safe.So here is what I did to unlock mine.
Firstly downlaod the following and have them installed on your PC. ( Im using a Win 7, Acer Exensa 4230 Notebook):
DOwnloads Needed
The app can do everything that you will ever need for several Android devices including root (partial or full depending on the device), will allow non-market apps to be installed, and even unroot your device if you ever need to take it in for warranty service or returns.
YOU CAN ROOT ALMOST ALL ANDROID PHONES

The Android SDK provides you the API libraries and developer tools necessary to build, test, and debug apps for Android

Unlock Procedure:
Once you have the 2 utilities installed and ready proceed as follows:
Step 1 – Your Device Needs to be rooted and shell rooted.
Connect your Android ZTE V9 table to you PC via USB and make sure all drivers are installed. Open up SuperOneClick. Click Root and wait for completion. Then click shellroot
Shell root will allow you to access the device as a SuperUser (Windows Administratior equivalent in Unix/Linux)
Step 2 - Follow the 4th Option here
The idea is to hack the systemdb which has the screen pattern lock.
If you cant get sqllite3 working from within the shell, you can use the one in the adb folder locally on your PC. The caveat is to copy the system db out to your PC (use the pull command), edit it and push back to your device (with the push command).Once done, just unplug the device and do a reboot. You will login without a need for a screen lock password if done correctly.
